AJS & Matchless Owners Club

I can't find reference to it anywhere, but I'm sure that I've read or heard that the G11CSR was the model of bike that was used by the marshalls for the 1958 TT races.

Is it true -has anyone else read about this - if so is it documented anywhere, please?
