Looks like a 1957 crank to me first year on the AMC gear box still on Magneto and Dynamo but I could be wrong.

In the light of your guidance in my recent purchase of a G9 from Kettering Classics, I would advise anyone to treat your advice with extreme caution!

Years ago I built a '55 twin and realised that the crank was a '57, so I'd have no shock absorber. I fitted an AMC clutch to the Burman box and I don't remember any problems at all except the clutch push rod was too short. It worked really well and no problem with the tin chaincases.

Thanks for all the replies.
After a bit of 'spares list' research I did suspect it was a later cranks than a '52.
So now on the look out for an AMC gearbox and clutch!
Many thanks
