New owner. Beneath the engine I found a crimped copper line, a few inches long, coming from between crankcase and chaincase. What is this?

crankcase breather. Not sure it should be crimped but so long as it allows air to pass it should be ok.

I don't think it should be crimped. The crankcase breather on my bike has a rubber type hose attached to drip oil on to the drive chain near the pillion foot rest.
