Side stand length

I noticed the other day that apart from the bolt on mine being very loose, the pivot itself is also very loose, I wondered if there should be a bushing inside the boss and/or whether I could make one to take up some of the slop.

Hi, the pivot on mine is a bit loose too but any slack taken up would only make a slight, if any, difference. I’m beginning to think that the arm itself maybe bent. As Dave stated the frame may well
be distorted but difficult to tell. Looks O.K. though, so will look at what can be done when I remove it and get it on the bench. Insertion of a bush seems a way forward, certainly can’t do any harm and may cure problem.
