Engine Chains - 16MS

Hi.

I recently took ownership of a 16MS (Reg SSl130). I've downloaded quite a bit of documentation and there's a basic definition I just can't seem to fathom.

Can anyone help by answering these couple of questions or pointing me in the right direction?

1. What is the definition and purpose of the front chain?
2. Is this another name for the primary chain?

I've no problem with understanding Dynamo chain, Magneto chain etc.

Yes it's another name for the primary chain. It connects the engine to the gearbox.
