I forgot the other week I modded my kickstart because every time I tried to start it after just 2 or 3 kicks the rubber would be almost off and i was getting fed up keep pushing it back on.
So I drilled down the leaver tapped a thread found a lovely aluminium tapered washer and a large headed Alan screw and bingo problem solved.

Re: kickstart rubber mod
That's neat... My solution was much more of a bodge... A 4mm wide cable tie pulled up tight around the rubber, just inboard of the lump on the end. That keeps it on quite effectively.
I'm from the Fens.... Gimme six.

Re: kickstart rubber mod
thanks it was hard work as I didn't have the correct size drill bit so tapping the thread was very tight a tiny bit back off tiny bit more back off and i was lucky as I broke 1 tap but just had enough to get pliers on it to get it out.
