re seating a front wheel

Post by KeithYoung52 »

I've just suffered a puncture in the front wheel of my model 8. In my rush to get the puncture fixed I did not note the order or orientation of the parts as I removed them. The fork ends that support the wheel spindle have black dashes on one side and one of the fork ends has a cutout for a washer. Does anyone have any advice on which way round these things go and are they left hand and right hand orientated or is the washer cut out there because its come off another bike?
Any advice would be appreciated.
