Matchless Mountaineer

Post by Red Gauntlet »

Well, I had thought about the Enfield Himalayan but a Matchless Mountaineer looked a better choice, 2 months ago this was just a box of bits, today I went out on my first ride, runs like a clock. Super pleased and thanks to you people on the forum who have been answering my questions, I now have a running machine.

Very nice bike. Where did you obtain the rear suspension units from?

The shocks are 410mm Betor MX shocks from http://motorcycleshockabsorbers.co.uk/trail-m.html I think they were about £120 or so, super helpful chap who runs it.

Thanks for that, the G5 and G2 shocks are like hens teeth, it's nice to know you can still obtain some although not original stile.
