As far as I remember the rings are the same for all the pistons for the G2 series, the one thing I do remember clearly from playing with these engines a long while ago is that the high comp piston comes mighty close to the spark plug, it was generally used on the CS models which have the plug in the middle of the head, you may find that it closes the gap up on the plug if it protrudes into the chamber too far. Check the clearances carefully, before bolting everything down for the last time. Have fun... Max

I've just checked the piston ring gaps before I start a rebuild, really just cos it smokes a bit and the crown was quite oily. The comp rings had a gap of 35 thou !!!!. The oil ring was a strange affair of 4 various rings and expander. New rings reqd me thinks .
