vanishing G3L carb nut

Post by DaveTW »

Hi, refitting the carb on my G3L one of the nuts magically disappeared! Gone to another dimension so I'm told! Can anyone tell me pls what size/type of nut I need, tried various to no avail. Not BSF ( I don't think) so is it Whitworth? My 5/16 spanner fits the nut but what size is it catgorised as to order one? Help.... Dave?

Someone did put together a list of bolts / nuts and the sizes. It's mostly complete and a very handy resource if you need it.

The parts manuals on the dutch owners club archive might also help you with finding the part number so you can order from the club. I know the shop.is a little bit of A challenge to understand at times.

Iirc they are the old style anti rattle nuts they look a little oval ish as they are squished a little to stop them vibrating loose.
