Oil feed crankcase union heavyweight singles

Post by 56G80S »

Here I go again.

I was looking at the oil feed union "adaptor" that screws into the crankcase. This was prior to checking the threads in the crankcase. On the crankcase end there was a metal ring. It fell off and disappeared into the ether. I can't find it anywhere, either on the floor or in the parts list (paper or the useful spreadsheet). It looked, before it went, like a "proper job".

I had never taken the "adaptor" off before. as there'd been no need.

However, I now need to replace it but it would be good to have a number. Or be told that it was a PO vagary.

I also found that the little blanking screws had no fibre washers all these years but that's really irrelevant except that they'd not out before either.

Comments welcome.

EDIT - NOW FOUND SOME INFO ON A SEARCH no help needed.
