Hi, I am on the rebuild process on my 1958 model 14, and have committed the sin of not taking enough photographs of the strip down.
Does anyone have photograph or diagram of the Left hand "toolbox" bracketry. Is it supposed to hinge like the RH one?

Hi Bill i am assuming you mean the cover on the left side when sitting on the bike?. If so its permanently fixed.
There are two tubes that support the lower fixing brackets for both sides.
The right side is a hinge and the left is an L shape in section bracket that has two holes for the long studs to go through and then it should have two nuts brazed on which is where you bolt the cover to. The bracket is inside the cover so you bolt through the cover.
I have sold my lightweight now cant show you any pictures.
