Hi All,
When I tighten up the spindle nut the wheel gets harder and harder to turn.
The dummy spindle / brake drum when in position and tightened turns ok
Has anybody had this problem before
Thanks in anticipation

Have you got the stepped spacer the other side the wrong way round.

Look at the image in photos of the sectioned rear hub and check you have all the parts in the correct order. As rob says you may have that stepped spacer the wrong way round. Or you might be missing a washer. Check you have the oilseal on the outside of the oilseal cup on the speedo drive side. The picture explains it.

I would also loosen the large nut that holds the Speedo gearbox and make that the last thing you tighten up.

Sorted thanks everybody, the speedo drive was not meshed in. turned the drive round slowly until it clicked in.
