When you go to https://www.jampot.com/article_read.asp?id=410 do you see your user name on the top right of the page showing that you are logged in? Have you ever logged into this Club site previously?
Try logging in with the username and password you use for the forum - if not accepted then you need to get the same user name and password set up for the Club site.
I have the same password for both sites to save confusion. Others may differ

I think Barry from Whitby had this brake fitted but I have not seen him for years . Any ideas on getting into the tech tips page ?

Re: Hydraulic brake by Malcom Saggers
I have heard of this conversion and thought about trying to do similar. Does anyone know more details such as cylinders, springs etc. and what machining/modification is needed to the brake plate if converting the late 1950/60s heavyweight brake?
Thanks, LynP

Thanks everyone
The shoes that came with mine are not the same as the article
What do the pivoting straps do ?
How tight should the bolts be that hold the straps to the plate ?
How tight for the nuts and bolts that hold the strap to the shoes ?
The shoes that came in mine are wider than the width of the braking surface of the drum. Is this how they are meant to be ?
This job has given me the opportunity to put about 40 years of Jampots in order

Re: Hydraulic brake by Malcom Saggers
I currently have this conversion on my outfit front brake and if I'm honest I wouldn't bother. Whilst it feels impressive, in use it is very wooden and offers little feedback as to what's happening. With the original cable operated system it has feel. It's not a great improvement over a well set up cable operated brake with quality linings.
