Speedometer gear box
Hi recently purchased a new speedometer gear box problem is the drive comes out the wrong end points towards the rear of bike.I could turn it through 180 degrees then it would pointing in correct direction but underneath the swinging arm that can't be correct.So can I take off the end caps and but the drive onto the other .many thanks for any advice

They come in two configurations, it's the casting that defines how it needs to be fitted.
So the cable line will run above or below wheel spindle height.
They'll only go on one way.
I have one of each orientation on my two twins but I've no idea how they came out of the factory gate and I've probably had both versions on both bikes over the years.
