Instruction for this are on page 56. This shows a lightweight clutch but the method is the same. It's a messy job!

If by any chance you have available a sacrifical clutch plate with tangs on the inside to hold the centre, a tool like this makes it (relatively!) easier to compress the bungee bits . . . It, or a variant, is what many of us use I think.
