2022 Alternative rally, Chiddingly, Sussex 23 - 25 September 2022

Now that the Jampot is underway, maybe it's time to think about this years Alternative Rally.

It is being held by the Sussex Section in Chiddingly on the weekend 23rd - 25th September.

The Saturday run is to Newhaven Fort, https://www.newhavenfort.org.uk and entry for motorcycle riders/passengers is included in the rally fee.

As well as the usual camping, we still have spaces for some more camper vans (pre booking required).

The Six Bells at Chiddingly has been a regular venue for me for over 30 years. It's a marvellous pub, friendly, good food and plenty of two wheeled clientele, especially on Sunday's and a very popular bike night every other Tuesday. If you can make it, do! You won't be disappointed.

I live right down the street, where Chiddingly Rd meets the A267. I'll be there for the Saturday run and hopefully Sunday morning too. I just wanted to offer, if anyone should need it, access to my workshop and tools during the event.

Is there a shortest travelled award?

Probably anyone staying in the B&B or Premier Inn, no award sorry
Sometimes its as hard riding from down the road as from a distance . I loaded my G15CSR to ride to the Jampot last weekend and then discovered a missing nut , in the most difficult to get to position so it never left the drive and I had to get the P11 out of the garage

Brian , can you book in as a day visitor or for the weekend this will give you the badge and packed lunch at Newhaven Fort on the Saturday run including free entry that is normally £7.95 (free if you have your bike on the run )

To make it clear if you ride to the event , and don't trailer or put it in a van then your mileage will count , So Roy don't worry !
Only AJS / Matchless bikes will be considered for best AJS / Matchless
Of course the final ruling and decision is down to the organizing section
