I took it that Matt was really just looking for dimensions for making a few nuts and bolts!

Hex stock in appropriate AF sizes for BSF BSW and BSC is available, as it is (mostly) for BA work too, but if Matt is up for milling the hexes on round bar stock, no need for that.

Armed with any of the info referred here already, and some decent data on tapping sizes such as is available in charts like the ones attached which cover every conceivable requirement, I'd have thought it would be quite straightforward?

A lot easier though, Matt, to get a few decent taps and dies and a suitable tailstock die holder frankly - is what I think most of us do. Reserving lathe cuts for the odd sizes for which tackle isn't easily available.
