R8

Post by JARO »

I don't want to make a mess on the topic "New member" about R9.I wrote there  that two years ago I found on Autoscout24.de
AJS S8 for renovation.I was wondering  to buy it but it unexpectedly disappeared and I didn't buy it.
I attached picture of this bike and Rob Harknett wrote that:

"This does look quite correct for an S8. Note the R9 topic bike seems to have a later Tank and headlamp"

Yes , the tank looks  bigger than in R9 but it is in black color  , maybe it changes the view.
From the left side it looks a little different,  newer mind.

I have something more interesting.
Before this ad disappeared I downloaded some pictures of this bike and one old picture,
as a suggestion it's this bike.
Who knows it looks similar.

Before the World War II AJS was popular in Poland , of course after the war
Russian communists destroyed almost everything.
In the picture is a young soldier , registration number is from Krakow ( Cracow).
The vehicle is civil, not military I guess 31 or 32 year.

I made a mistake in the title. This is probably S8.
It was two years ago I didn't remember case details.
