53 G3LS "H" Cams Info Pse

Happy New Year to all Matchless Folks from Nairobi, Kenya.

Kindly inform what would be the difference between say G3L cams used in WD Models and G3LS marked "H"? Does H stand for that they were to be used with higher compression post models ....??

Can WDG3 cams be used in a 53 LS?

The H cams have a higher lift. The WD cams with a lower lift can be used on a later model. If the h cams are used on an earlier model check that there is enough clearance between tappet and guide for the higher lift.

Thanks clive..so they are a bit sportier and have a higher lift, hence H...... excellent.
