Rallies in 2022 - what chance?

Post by 56G80S »

I was just thinking how I had enjoyed the Autumn Rally. However, COVID-19 has not gone away and was musing about the likelihood of rallies in 2022.

Pointless, really, but I wondered what others were thinking? It's only 5 months to April 2022.

Funny you should mention this John as the same thing crossed my mind. So far the IJR is still on the cards as is the Jampot, however I think it's safe to say that nothing is definite and will be monitored right up to a cut off point defined by the organisers.

With Europe heading back into lockdown we may need toes crossed as well!

Hard to ride with fingers and toes crossed but i will try. My club rallies badge board has been a bit bare the last couple of years.

From the last committee minutes:

International 3-6 June - Glashütten-Oberems near
Frankfurt (previously planned for 2021). This is a
Hotel Complex and there is NO camping on site.

Jampot 19-21 August - Llandovery RFC,
Carmarthenshire, SA20 0BA, Wales

Alternative – Sussex (date tbc)

Oh dear! I didn't know the IJR dates and Linda has, rather expensively, booked us to see Jeff Beck on 2 June.

Disaster.

It could be a marathon ride on 3 June. I have done just under 500 miles in 24 hours on the Matchless but 687 is a step too far.
