Hi All,
Currently working, on and off, on my 31 crankcase/flywheel/conrods.
It struck me, after doing the O ring mod for the oil chamber and n/s c/shaft seal, that the mating face, where the centre web oil gallery meets the n/s c/case oilway drilling could be a bit iffy.
Has anyone put in a small thin, gasket, or anything, in, just in case. I have'nt seen anything mentioned on reading articles.
Thanks.

Hmm. Never done anything special there over the years, but I know what you mean and I have wondered from time to time too.
However, I have never had any trouble just leaving it as the makers' intended. Trying to remember if I've used the merest hint of Wellseal or not, but brain fade has set in!
Worth looking to check that the late Alan Jacobs, Biscuit, didn't have something to say on this in one of his erudite posts- but have to say, I don't recall his highlighting it as an issue.
