Back in 1976/7 I built a 350 short stroke bike using parts from my garage, the frame was a twin down tube G12/15, Norton forks, wheels, kidney shaped oil tank/tool box. I think the upper headstock was a Taylor Dow item. The whole bike was unique and found it difficult to register, I had to have a visit from a local copper to inspect the bike and check that parts were not stolen. Well the copper was satisfied and asked what make it was, I just said my make I've built it, ok so call it something so I used my initials ROWISY, and that is how the log book arrived, with me as the manufacturer. (Bazaar) I kept blowing up the engine of the 350, so I fitted a 600 Dominator engine which turned out to be a much better choice for my flat out riding. I cant remember the reg I sold it a few years later but if someone's ever come across a Norton/AMC hybrid with my initials on the tank ?
