Sidestand spring position

Lots of useful advice guys,I think I'll knock up a bracket to fit on the frame bolt,then I can play around with the position for the best function.I like the idea of the spring not fouling the crankcase too.I have no stand at present,so if it would be nice to get it off axle stands!

Experimented with a cable tie round the frame joining bolt by the exhaust mount.Worked great stand banged home extended and folded up.Now to make a proper job of it.
