In memory of Bill Redford

Post by clive »

Bill's family have told me that he passed away at home on Friday. Many club members will have memories of Bill and I have been asked to post details of the funeral when they are available.

Gave me some very good advice and was prepared to listen to me at the Kerteminde IJR.

Probably forgot more than I know about AMC machines.

Best wishes to his family.

A most wonderful person to have known during my 44 years of being a club member. Thank you for your friendship and all the happy memories Bill. Always seen together with Et on pillion.
Rest in Peace, together forever.

Bill was one of the gentleman motorcyclists with time for everyone. RIP Bill.

I attach Sergio Gavoni's post from Facebook.

I remember Bill, at IJR209 in Borgo Priolo, ready for the start, he didn't have the usual Matchless single, he told me it's too heavy for my age, but he did the whole rally! he was already 83 years old! a rock an example for everyone! I had memorized it since the early 90s, on the photos of the Jampot magazine, for its strange mono which had two covers for the magneto.
a great reference for all of us as a friend and partner.
