Re: Model I.D Help
Looks like a 1967/68 G15 CS to me. If I'm wrong it will prompt an expert on this era to correct me.

I think the silencers came from Dizzy Gillespie.

Re: Model I.D Help
Certainly looks to be a G15CS Rob, so could be from about 1964 onwards. Roy would be able to confirm with engine and frame nos and Anthony Curzon from Hi-Cam is the expert on these hybrids.

Re: Model I.D Help
Were engine numbers for that era not prefixed last 2 digits of the year and model. e.g. 68/G15 CS ***

Re: Model I.D Help
You need to check engine and frame numbers as they should match and the engine number should start with G15CSXXX... rather than say 20M as the latter would indicate a Norton not a Matchless engine. Parts are readily available for the engine clutch, gearbox and wheels from the big Norton suppliers and also some spares from the club and AMC classic spares. Tinware can be an issue for these later bikes. You will also need to check import and VAT fees which may make it more expensive than one available here - there are a few about including a G15 CSR at Kettering Classics at HQ.

Re: Model I.D Help
Hi
I'm just coming to the end of re-commissioning a G15CSR, (my first).
Parts are reasonably easy to source but a bit more costly if you have to get them from 'non AMC specialists' - use the Club or AMC Classic wherever you can, failing that Andover Norton are very good but a bit more pricey. I had a bad experience with Norvil, but perhaps that was a one off.
There's a lot of good info here:

But to be sure what you're looking at it's best to run it past the dating officer on here - G15Roy
