I know very little about LED bulbs other than they use less power and usually need a negative earth.
Member Clanger9 mentions in his recent post that he has had two fail where their fans failed.
Are there any readers who have had good results using a LED headlight bulbs and able to recommend one (cheaper the better of course)
Cheers
Martin

LED headlamp bulbs are available from dynamoregulatorconversions.com
I have one fitted to my 1952 G80 CS, it gives a good beam on dip, with the main beam coming on with the dip. There is no fan on these bulbs, as they have only two LEDs. Price was £25 plus post. Current is negligible.

Yes, and available with positive earth too, led's all round, very happy with them on the G3.

Also need a regulator/rectifier of some kind to manage the unwanted excess current now produced to prevent battery overcharging. I fitted an AReg 6 from Paul Goff,

Looks like you can buy a pair of these at under £18 a pair on our favourite auction site

There isn't enough room in the headlamp to fit these.

Martin, have a look at my thread in the Help section. I give links to the sources on fleabay. The work is done for you already. In fact I've managed to source some pilot bulbs which are for a Jag and positive earth.

Cheers, Chris

Thanks Chris - I have looked at your post, I intend to convert the Lightweight to 12V and use a H4 fitment reflector that I have.
The picture of the bulbs I attached seem to be the same spec and look identical as those listed on the link that Steve posted earlier - http://www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/

Just to be clear in case of any miscommunication, in my previous post the link was in reference to a regulator/rectifier unit only.

I obtained my very good, imho, led bulbs from Dynamoregulatoconversions who were mentioned in an earlier post by Dudley.
