I am aware that there are different models of Monoblocs, for different bikes, capacities etc , but recently I've noticed that there are two (at least) patterns of floatchamber cover.. with the logo etc at different angles to the fixing screws ..
I assume that this is for mounting the carb on a horizontal or an angled intake ..
What I am now wondering, are the angle inlet carbs identical to the horizontal with just a different cover, or are they physically different ..
The carb on my newly acquired model 31 has an angled cover .. could it be that it is the wrong carb .. or just the wrong cover .. ?

Don't think I need that, but just ordered a 'pre-loved' cover of the correct alignment ..jackstringer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 12:36 pm You can get an extension kit though,

No I'm not a rivet counter, but I don't like things to look obviously wrong ..
