I think I am searching for unobtainium but does anyone know if such a thing as the above exists in 6V (or 6/12V) for my ‘54 G80CS with dip and main of course? Suspect I will need to change the reflector to accommodate the standard size LED I obtained from Mr Goff yesterday. I think the original Lucas Mazda bulb has earned itself a rest after 67 years of service!

I'm confused, surely a BAY 15D is a rear bulb, stop and tail.

Hi Dave so was I but I think I have just found and ordered what I need on eBay. Apparently most pre-50’s British bikes ran the old Lucas balloon style 6V BA15D size and Velocette and Vincent went into the 50’s. It’s apparently a new addition to the LED range for motorcycles.

My 1953 G80CS has a BPF Led bulb, this fits straight into the Lucas unit.

My '51 G3L ditto. Goffy's bulb fitted fine, though I had to turn the pre-focus depth ring through 180 degrees to keep dip/main correctly oriented39speedtwin wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 8:16 pm My 1953 G80CS has a BPF Led bulb, this fits straight into the Lucas unit.
